Our customer in Avalon NSW had new ceramic tiles installed in his garden. Although the tiles were sold as slip-resistant, the caused a slipping hazard in wet and dry conditions. Therefore, our customer had Swiss GriP installed to create slip-resistant ceramic tiles.
Just like our customer in Avalon, many tiles are sold as meeting the slip-resistance standards. However, many are only tested in dry conditions or have slip-resistant layer that wears off within months with light traffic. To eliminate the risks of slips and falls, our customer wanted a durable and invisible non-slip solution.
After testing two anti-slip treatments and Swiss GriP, our customer selected our Swiss-made non-slip coating. Unlike anti-slip treatments, Swiss GriP does not etch into the tiles which breaks through the seal of the tiles. This makes it harder to clean tiles and can cause severe discolouration. Instead of etching, Swiss GriP is a UV-resistant, durable coating that seals the tiles with a slip-resistant finish.
Our technicians in Sydney installed Swiss GriP Non-Slip PRO to approx. 80m2 of ceramic tiles & 10m2 timber. Besides slip-resistance, our coating is also water and dirt repellent, making it easy to clean with a broom, brush, microfibre mop. And due to our excellent adhesion it is even possible to pressure wash the Swiss GriP finish without any peeling.
