Swiss GriP Non-Slip: No Cure, No Pay

Swiss GriP is the only non-slip coating certified world-wide by independent institutions. In Australia Swiss GriP is certified by CSIRO in accordance to the Australian Standards for slip-resistance. For this reason, we are the only provider of non-slip solutions to offer a No Cure, No Pay option on the slip-resistance of our installations.

What does it mean?

Unlike anti-slip treatments, CSRIO has independently tested and certified the slip-resistance of Swiss GriP in accordance to AS 4586-2013. Therefore, we guarantee your surface will reach a P4 slip-rating after the Swiss GriP installation.

How does it work?

There are two Australian Standards for Slip Resistance of pedestrian surfaces:

• AS 4586 – 2013: Slip resistance classification of new pedestrian surface materials
• AS 4663 – 2013: Slip Resistance measurement of existing pedestrian surfaces

After the installation, an independent slip-test is conducted to measure the slip-resistance of Swiss GriP. If the surface does not reach a P4 Slip-Rating in accordance to AS 4663, don’t have to pay. Any independent and accredited institution or company can perform on-site testing.

Case Study: ANZ Branch in Casino, NSW

The ANZ Bank in Casino NSW is situated in the centre of the Australian beef capital. It is the main bank in town and residents use the ATM on a weekly basis. In other words, their entry area gets a lot of traffic. Over the past few years a reoccurring problem was that the tiles got extremely slippery in the wet. Anti-slip tapes did not provide a durable solution. After a nasty slip of a resident, the site manager decided to look for a better solution. Swiss GriP Non-Slip PRO transparent was installed to keep clients and staff safe.

Independent Slip Test: AS 4663-2013

SlipTest Australia was contracted to measure the slip-resistance of Swiss GriP Non-Slip after the installation. The slip ratings returned P4 as well as P5 slip-ratings, easily meeting the requirements set by the customer. Moreover, the results are extremely consistent with our CSIRO Certificate.
