Rational Skincare, a leading skincare brand, recently upgraded the flooring at its Armadale Flagship store with Swiss GriP Non-Slip. The move was aimed at protecting customers from slips and falls, which can result in serious injuries and lawsuits.
The ceramic tiles on the store floor were upgraded to a P3 slip rating, while the bluestone tiles on the outdoor ramp were upgraded to a P5 slip rating. This means that the surfaces now offer a high level of slip resistance, even when wet. The slip-rating was verified by an independent slip-testing company upon completion of the works.
Rational Skincare chose Swiss GriP after researching various non-slip solutions. Swiss GriP stood out for its effectiveness, durability, and aesthetic appeal. The coating is transparent, so it doesn’t change the appearance of the tiles, and it can be applied to a wide range of surfaces, including ceramic, stone, and concrete.
Swiss GriP is also easy to clean and maintain, which is important in a busy retail environment. It doesn’t require any special cleaning agents, and it can be cleaned with a microfibre mop or steam cleaner. The Swiss GriP coating was applied by Floor Compliance Solutions, a certified Swiss GriP Installer. The process was completed within one day, reducing down time for the store.
Since the installation of Swiss GriP, Rational Skincare has received positive feedback from customers and staff. They feel more secure and confident walking on the store’s floors and entry ramp, even when it’s wet outside. Prior to the Swiss GriP Installation, several slips and near misses happened on this transition area.
