The Smithton Wellbeing Indoor Recreation and Leisure centre is a state-of-the-art wellbeing and leisure facility. It includes a six-lane 25-metre indoor swimming pool, a program pool and aquatic play area for the kids to enjoy. We applied our anti-slip coating on vinyl in the changing rooms to make them comply with the Australian Standards.
The leisure centre was recently renovated with new vinyl floors in the changing rooms. However, after installation it soon became clear the surface was slippery in wet conditions. To avoid replacing the vinyl, the council selected Swiss GriP to upgrade the existing vinyl with the Swiss GriP Non-Slip P3 coating.
Our water-based, transparent coating has excellent adhesion to vinyl, creating a long lasting slip-resistant finish. And unlike many ”UV-stable” sealers, our coating is UV-resistant, which means it won’t yellow out over time. So besides safety, our coating provides an invisible anti-slip solution for vinyl which is also easy to clean due to the antimicrobial (ISO 846) and water and dirt repellent characteristics.
In total, Swiss GriP Non-Slip P3 was applied to 95m2 of vinyl flooring.
