McKenzie Aged Care is one of Australia’s leading care providers. Sisters Sally and Mary-Ann McKenzie opened their first aged care home in 2011. Swiss GriP Non-Slip was installed to create a slip-resistant entry area at Newmans on the Park.
Surrounded by homely comforts and natural bushland gardens, Newmans on the Park in Templestowe is a welcoming place to live. With a warm country feel, Newmans brings people together in a close-knit community that feels more like a family.
The main entry area at Newmans on the Park posed a high risk of slipping for residents and visitors. Because the tiled walkway has a slight inclination the surface was extra dangerous, especially in wet conditions. To comply and exceed the Australian Standard for Slip Resistance (AS 4663-2013), Swiss GriP was commissioned to create a slip-resistant entry area.
Our certified installers applied Swiss GriP Non-Slip PRO to the tiles with our Graco HVLP ProContractor Sprayer. Prior to the application, the surface was cleaned and our sealer/primer was applied. In total, about 40m2 of tiles were made slip resistant.
