Set in the Central Business District, the OAKS Horizons Adelaide offers 99 apartments. The tiles on the balconies were porous and not slip-resistant. This caused a safety hazard and it was difficult to clean the surface. Swiss GriP Non-Slip was used to create a slip-free balcony.
Therefore, OAKS looked into sealing the tiles while also achieving a P4 slip-rating in accordance to AS 4586. Meeting those requirements, Swiss GriP Non-Slip PRO was applied to the tiles. A primer/sealer was used to reduce the porosity of the tiles prior to applying the transparent non-slip coating.
Because Swiss GriP creates a water and dirt repelling finish on the tiles, it has also become easier to maintain and clean the tiles.
