Our customer in Eltham, Victoria, had several slipping incidents around her pool. Although the tiles were supposed to be non-slip, they were extremely slippery in wet conditions. An initial anti-slip treatment did improve the situation.
The high quality slate tiles around this pool posed a high slipping risk. Trying to find a solution, the home owner opted for an anti-slip treatment. However, the etching effect of the treatment made the slate more porous and did not solve the slipping problem.
After the unsuccessful anti-slip treatments, we were approached to apply Swiss GriP Non-Slip around the pool. Unlike etching, our coating seals and protects the tiles. Moreover, we guarantee a P5 slip-rating in accordance to AS 4663 in wet conditions (slider 55).
