Managed by the City of Melbourne, North Melbourne Recreation Centre (NMRC) is an aquatic and recreation centre that supports participation in sport at all levels. The centre comprises of a state of the art gymnasium and seasonal outdoor pools. Swiss GriP Non-Slip was selected to make the pool area non-slip.
The North Melbourne Pool is a heated, seasonal outdoor pool and is open from October 1st to April 30th each year. The unique aquatic facility consist of an 8-lane 25m pool, toddler’s pool, wading pool and an infant splash pool.
The area leading to the wading pool posed a high safety risk because the tiles got extremely slippery in wet conditions. To prevent any slips and falls, City of Melbourne commissioned Swiss GriP Non-Slip to professionally install the Swiss GriP Non-Slip Coating. Our CSIRO-certified coting has upgraded the surface to a P5 slip-rating (AS 4663), without changing the appearance of the tiles.
